Located in the Pendleton district of Salford, to the northwest of Manchester. Originally occupied by Pendleton Lads' Club until 1910 when part of the roof collapsed during a gale. It was converted into the Bijou Theatre, opening as a cinema on 25th January 1912. It had a 21ft wide proscenium. By 1920 it was operating as the Bijou Picture Theatre. It was operated by the J.F. Emery Circuit in 1923 for one year only. It was equipped with a British Acoustic(BA) sound system and closed as the Bijou Cinema in 1937.

It was used as a clothing warehouse into the 1950’s and in 1962 it became a Tesco supermarket. It remained in this use until it was demolished in the 1970’s.

Opened on 25th January 1912 with “Winning back his love”, Adventures of Bobby" and “Payday”.
