The April 24, 1961 issue of Boxoffice described the new Holiday Drive-In just off US 99 (now I-5) at Birch Bay-Lynden Road. The drive-in was about a block north on then-Haynie, now Valley View Road. The owners were Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Cook and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dent, and they started construction May 1960. The field held 500 cars and the screen was “one of the largest north of Seattle”. It was opened on March 28, 1961 with Michael Rennie in “Third Man on the Mountain” and Walt Disney’s “Dumbo”.

Aerial photos in 1972 and 1981 showed the Holiday Drive-In still intact, but the screen was gone by 1998. The concession / projection building was still there in 2021.

A closer address is 8198 Valley View Rd, Custer, WA.

Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it right on the property.

The concession stand/projector booth is still standing, but part of the roof looks caved in.
