The 1913 Sanborn shows ‘Moving Pictures’ being shown in the eastern storefront of a four-story brick building constructed sometime before 1883, when the map shows it as the Seitz Hotel.
As originally built, the front 2/3 was split east-west, backed by a hallway and stair from S. Franklin Street, leading up to the hotel. The rear of the building was another commercial space facing S. Franklin Street.
The 1906 map shows the space that became the theatre as a jewellers. Later maps are unfortunately not available online, but the building was recently reconditioned and the ground floor is used as retail.
