Dreamland Theatre

‘Moving Pictures’ were being offered in 1908 on the ground floor of a three story brick building that was constructed in 1896 as the lodge for an unknown fraternal order.

The building was not very deep, but there was a two story extension at the rear. The 1901 map shows the space as a furniture store. The Dreamland Theatre remained in operation at least through 1914, but the 1927 map shows it returned to retail use.

This building was long ago destroyed, along with most of this block. It is currently a gravel lot.
