Spa Pavilion

Located in the port town and leisure resort of Felixstowe, Suffolk. The Spa Pavilion was opened as a music hall on 25th June 1909. Within a few weeks after opening it was presenting Ruffells Imperial Bioscope shows. By 1912 it was operated by Sydney Church and films were featured in the programming. The Spa Pavilion was enlarged in April 1939, but was destroyed by German bombs in 1941. The remains stood derelict.

A new Art Deco style Spa Pavilion Theatre with 919-seats was built on the site, opening on 26th May 1950. It was equipped to screen 16mm films, but has been mainly a live performance venue. It was closed in 2013, but was taken over by new owners and reopened on 15th May, 2015.
