Located in Roscrea, County Tipperary. The New Hall Cinema was operating from the early-1930’s and was run by the Roscrea & Athy Picture Company, who had a number of cinemas in the area. Billy Carroll seems to have been the driving force behind the Company. It was situated next door to Spooner’s garage, away from the centre of town, and had around 600 seats. By 1947 it had been re-named New Cinema.

It was taken over by the Oscar Cinemas chain in the early-1970’s and renamed Oscar Cinema. It closed around 1979 and was later demolished.
