The Rupert Pioneer-Record reported Messrs. Buchwald and Abbott opened the Lincoln Theatre on February 1, 1911. With the film equipment ready for installation, the theatre was also serving as a dance hall.

On February 18, 1911 the Lincoln Theatre opened for picture shows with changes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The theatre was listed on Sanborn Maps 1911 as unnamed and made it into Motion Picture Directory 1914-15 and closed around the time the Wilson Theatre opened in 1920.

Looking back, the city of Rupert notes the Lincoln Theatre was located on the second story of the Guyer Building, or Hoggan’s Leather and Canvas since 1956. They had moved out by 2021 and the premises were vacant.
