Kino Odeon

The Kino Odeon opened in 1907 and closed in 1913. The building stands today, altered almost beyond recognition. It has retail use on the ground floor with apartments above.

Not to be confused with the over 100 years old Cafe Bar Odeon along the street at Limmatquai 2, which has a beautiful Art Nouveau style interior. It has operated as a gay bar/cafe for several decades, but by 2022 was attracting a very mixed crowd. The current Cafe Bar Odeon is smaller than it originally was, as it has been split in half with the other half now a pharmacy.
