Banning Opera House

The American Motion Picture Directory 1914-15 lists the Banning Opera House, which made it to Sanborn Maps 1926 listed as Motion Pictures. It was located next to the Casa Del Camino Hotel, later becoming the historical Coplin House, which exists in restored form today.

The Opera House was covered in the Riverside and San Bernardino newspapers from 1913 to 1930, sometimes as the Banning Theatre.

The Opera House was last listed in Film Daily Year Book 1929 with 300 seats, along with new Banning Theatre, which opened in May 1928. By 1936 a restaurant occupied the site.
