Bennett Theatre

The Bennett Theatre was the first theatre opened in Logan. It was owned by Charles Bennett and leased to Messrs. Middeburg and Lopinsky. Although it was due to open on January 21, 1913 there was a delay until January 24, 1913 because the piano went astray in delivery and a new one had to be obtained.

There were 400 seats on the main level and an additional 150 in the balcony and boxes.

The Bennett Theatre was a venue for movies and live performances. It was still open in 1926, but had closed by 1927.

After closure the site was used for retail. The building is currently unoccupied.

I have uploaded an announcement of the opening, with the original date, and ads from 1925 and 1911.
