The Dreamland Theatre was opened by 1913. The Palace Theatre, formerly the Dreamland Theatre, was opened December 25, 1932, by Leo J. Diener and Bert McCormick. The Dubuque Telegraph reported the opening picture was Joan Crawford in “Rain”.
The Palace Theatre dropped out of the listings in May 1938, before the opening of the State Theatre.
