In 1979 the Popcorn Theatre was opened by Leon Wayland inside a former railroad depot. This 66 seat theatre was decorated to resemble am old fashion nickelodeon, and specialized in screening Hollywood classic silent and talking pictures. Exact closing date is uncertain, but it seems to have been in operation for about a dozen years.

Today the Canadian County Historical Museum occupies the building.

Not demolished, the old railway station is very obviously still there.
