Moving pictures was listed at this location on Sanborn Maps 1908 and 1914.

On June 21, 1919, The Moving Picture World reported Walter Gisselberg, owner of the Lobby Theatre, had been released from the service. He intends to take over his theater again, which had been run by W.E. Boylan in his absence.

On August 27, 1921, W.E. Boylan of the Lobby Theatre contributed to “What the Picture did for Me” in Exhibitors Herald. He named 10 plays his patrons liked best, mostly westerns.

The theater had closed by 1927 and was gone on the 1929 maps, replaced by a beauty parlor.
