Itami Green-Rose Twin Theater

At the northern end of the Itami Sun Road shopping street, which has a full-covered arcade, there was a twin-screen theater (called both the Green Theater and Rose Theater but just simply named the Itami Green-Rose Twin Theater for short) located near the Hankyu Itami Line Itami Station, opening in 1970 as a twin theater.

Since the early-1980’s while managed by Shinji Yamatomi, the Green-Rose Twin grew major success after special effects were added inside the theater in 1983. The Green screen became widely known for their successful special Godzilla events at the time, and from 1987 until 1994, it was the main site for the Itami Film Festival.

The Green-Rose Twin closed for the final time on September 8, 2002. I cannot tell if the theater was converted to another place or was demolished.
