Nova

Located in Tienen, a town of Flemish Brabant near Leuven, with 32,000 inhabitants. The town is well known for the sugar factory the French name Tirlemont. There were several cinemas in the town. The Nova was opened before 1940, and was in activity during German occupation. The other cinemas in town were the Vox, the Rio, the Cinex and the Libertas. The Nova closed in the 1970’s. The Flemish group studio had opened a cinema in the late-1970’s and early-1980’s but today there are no cinemas in town.
