Cloverleaf Drive-In

The Cloverleaf Drive-In opened on April 1, 1953, according to a report three days later in Boxoffice. It was managed by Lloyd Wood and held 300 cars.

A 1982 aerial photo shows an intact, apparently active drive-in west of Sutherlin. By 1994, it had been replaced by a campground. Today, the Sutherlin / Umpqua Valley KOA advertises that it is built “on the fabled Cloverleaf Drive-In site,” and shows movies on “the refreshed, original 100-foot movie screen.”

Apart from the movie screen, the only thing remaining from the drive-in is the exit road as it meets the street. It is fenced off from the property, but the final few feet that connects it to the main road still exists.
