Operated by the Paducah Flim Society, a non profit organization founded in 1991. It is a group of arts minded individuals that saw the need for an outlet for foreign, independent and documentary films. For the first five years one film per month was screened Sundays at Market House Theatre. As interest grew the number of screenings increased, but the times for the screenings were limited due to the Market House live programming.
Since a home was needed the Maiden Alley Cinema was born and the group moved into their own building. They now have their own theatre for their programming. The show kids programming on the first Saturday of the month at 4:00 and for a two dollar admission the kids also receive free pop corn.
