Just heard from old projectionist,Bill Barkley,that another group of employees is putting together another NATIONAL HILLS THEATRE REUNION. This group came in after I was long gone.

Ruth Northington,Manager of the Joy Drive-in Died early this year.She had been sick for several months and had 6 major operations in the last month or so.So many Moviegoers in Hendersonville knew her and her husband Jim.
J. Warren Jackson, 83, Owner and Operator of the KNOX THEATRE passed away Jan. 28 2010. His very first job was working at the KNOX THEATRE.It was a love that stayed with him. He was a banker in the town of Warrenton.
The Noyo Theatre has reopened under the management of Frank Hughes,who operated the movie house three years ago. First run movies will be played. {Boxoffice March 4 1974}
That HAVCO INTERNATIONAL PICTURES recently screened “THE BOOTLEGGERS” at the PLAZA. It was showned to a private audience mainly of bookers. And a film like “THE BOOTLEGGERS” should do great in that area. {Boxoffice March 4 1974}
Andy Griffin star of “ANGEL IN MY POCKET” attended the Atlanta opening. He greeted his fans and made time to promote the movie.

Local citzens of Harlem,Ga. have done the same thing to the COLUMBIA theatre there.As hard as i have tried,i cannot get any of the locals to get on CT.
Ed,a friend found a picture of the Miller in an antique store in downtown Augusta.“A HARD DAY’S NIGHT” was playing.He made me acopy of the Picture. I wish I had a scanner to put it on CT.
I found quite a few “LET IT BE” one sheets at the Miller when we were paided to clean up the downstairs dressing rooms for the Opera in 1984. I am sure “LET IT BE” played there,and maybe “YELLOW SUBMARINE” since i also found material on that film in the Basement.

DISNEY’S “TRON” opens here. We were hoping to get it at REGENCY 1.2.3. CINEMAS,but didn’t. IT was one of DISNEY’S FIRST PG rated films.
“DEADLY BLESSING” is playing at the WEIS CINEMA. Rated R.
“RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK” still running strong.It is on its 10 th week. Could it beat “STAR WARS” here on the same screen? I don’t think so.
