June Lockhart who was in the movie “Meet me in St Louis” which had it’s world premiere at this theatre in St. Louis in 1944, turns 100 today(25th June 1925 - 25th June 2025).
The building was originally a general store built and opened in 1903. Part of the building was also used for a Noh theatre(Japanese dance and drama). Bought in 1913 to converted to a open air cinema in 1913. Heritaged listed on the National register in 1997.

The concession /bio box building is still there(and possibly the ramps, and entrance and exit roads too?).

The gates(and fences?) are still there. I think the snack bar/bio box building has been converted into a house after being sold in 2023?
