We played the animated “LORD OF THE RINGS” and keptit a week .Ralph Bakshi is one of my favorites in animation,so i was disappointed it pulled so bad.Glad to see it played “forever” in Northbrook.
Sadly, The Palmetto would start running X rated films.Dec 2 1970 has the X-rated “RIBALD TALES OF ROBIN HOOD”.Usually an X rated Double feature for this one time classy theatre.

There are alot of Drive-ins in Tennessee that have not made it on Cinema Treasures just checking the Search.

Most of your moviegoers today would not waste money on Hitchcock so why even book them in a theatre unless it was a 100 seat cinema at the 30 plex!!

“MONTE WALSH” was playing on then a nice large screen before the hatchet job was to come.Admission was 50 cents until 3pm.
