Greg,Do want one the First editions or a later edition.I didn’t know Jay was even sick until I saw his obit.I saved it.I wish he was still around,The Metro Sprit went out of Business our free newsweekly.Jay was so ahead of his time; they did print a story I wrote on Augusta’s Drive-ins years and years ago, time flies.I can send you the Story I have about Thirty copies.
Yes, i remember, but it must have been with you and Barry; on the weekdays when I closed,You and Zack off, I headed right out with Dray, I never was into those dang things. What is that crap “about leaving him alone” the Mall was pretty much safe.I know we would walk the Girls out,Carol even let me walk her out,Boy, she hated ME.Last time i went to slip in the EXCHANGE the owners had welded all the Exit doors,I was getting in on one in the back,so I don’t think we can get in,but I will dig the Pictures up.THE Mold in the EXCHANGE is horrible,I should have had a mask for the boys and me.I would give anything to get in the Triple.Barry has all kinds of pictures from those days and I can’t get him to let me borrow them to make copies,He always says he will bring them down on the next show.Geez,Robin, I was telling Bill You must have moved to Iceland.I was looking at our reunion pictures about two days ago.I saw Lisa Kunchinski at her Fathers Funeral.Mark too.told Mark about Ct,but he hasn’t posted a thing.oh well. Lisa and Mark both looked liked they hadn’t aged at ALL.YOu being a School teacher,Robin I can see the Headlines “STAGEHAND,NURSE[russell} and SCHOOL TECHER ARESTED AT OLD CINEMAS.”
I worked as a Stagehand on “CARMEN” we spent weeks fixing up the dressing rooms downstairs and getting it ready for the Opera and Ballet.I put the Marquee up on “CARMEN” the only one I ever did Downtown, even though I worked the Imperial as an Doorman and later Assistant Mgr..I have a picture of “Carmen” that I hope my friend Nick in Tampa will get on since he has a printer,Shows the set and most of the stage.I don’t think we used the pit Elevator at all, Henry 41.
Greg,i have plenty of copies of his newspaper and would be glad to send you a couple.i remember your by-line in the Atlanta papers,a dream I had.4595 Silver Lake Drive, evans 30809.I learned so much about Augusta Politics and Newspapers than any thing taught at Augusta College.Jay made one of the early attempts to Save the Modjeska if you remember that.I think you sister Jill helped out with the NEWS.
