  • <p>The Berkeley, in about 1983.  This shows the facade remodel designed by S. Charles Lee in the 1930s–minus the vertical sign and neon clock on the marquee, and with the metallic marquee soffit fascia and earth toned color scheme added shortly before this photo was taken.  This would be the theater’s appearance until its 1990s demolition.</p>

              <p>1950’s style drive-in theatre located in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. It was closed in the 1990’s, but reopened and operated as a fundraising project of the Coldbrook and District Lions Club. 400 car capacity and theatre is open weekends from May to September.</p>

  • <p>The day I stopped in at the Fair, the owner-manager was sprawled on the concession stand floor attempting to fix a problem with the soft drink machine. He pointed out that the theatre was used for some scenes in the Jerry Lee Lewis biopic “Great Balls Of Fire” starring Dennis Quaid.</p>
