Sorrento News writes - Lights out Australia Day weekend 2023. David Croad has been working at the Sorrento Athenaeum Cinemas for 50 years. A familiar face around Ocean Beach Road David started in the candy store when he was 12 and then trained as a projectionist and has Managed the cinemas for the past 28 years.

Sorrento News confirmed rumours this week that Colin Delutis has bought the site. It’s the end of an era for the thousands of movie goers who made it a ritual to see the latest releases at the cinema and the many locals who every week would buy their ticket and choc top.
