The RI premiere showings of the uncut 5-hour, 11 minute version of Bertolucci’s epic “1900” (Novecento) took place here on October 17 & 18, 1992. The film was programmed by the Italian Film Society of RI.

The 35mm print was at least 20 reels long, weighed a ton, cost a fortune to ship. I charged only $8 admission. Should have charged $15. We had two full houses. Vinnie Paz came to a screening.
