The Miner was owned and operated by Miner Amusement Co. It was NOT closed in 2007, it did survive a tornado in 2002 but was never closed other than for one year in 1986, and from 3/18/2020 to 11/20/2021 for covid 19. Ive owned and operated the Miner since 2011
The miner was built in 1944-1948 by Architects Liebenberg and Kaplan of Minneapolis. It is in very original condition and features stadium seating in the auditorium and a lower lobby with a sunken lounge that leads to the restrooms.
