Circle Drive-In
This photo is just legible enough to be cute to me. Published in the Long Beach Press-Telegram on April 4, 1951 as part of its Grand Opening coverage.
An ad next to the photo noted that “the distinctive uniforms worn by the attendants at the Circle Drive-In Theatre were designed and furnished by Hollywood Advertising Co.” Notice that even though editors trimmed the photo for other content, they made sure to leave the attendant’s leg. Different times!
