The stalls and circle were entered through large holding foyers before reaching the main auditorium seating capacity of 2,550, with accommodation in Stalls for 1,720 and circle 830. W. W. Turner & Co. Ltd supplied the seating with their ‘Sandringham’ design covered in red crushed velvet the chevron stanchions were finished in metallic gold. The walls and ceiling of the auditorium are textured with Marb-l-cote which had a cream ground colour, which was speckle sprayed with gold and brown bronze. The decorative splay wall grille concealed the heating and air conditioning ducts was gilt finished. All fibrous plaster works were carried out by W. J. Wilson & Son of Mansfield.
