Mediterranean Revival Movie Theaters

Popular during the 1920s, especially in South Florida, the Mediterranean Revival style was influenced by the architecture of the cultures of the Mediterranean, including Moorish Spanish, Italian, French, and Byzantine. The style is noted for its use of baroque decor, parapets, twisting columns, arches, stucco, red tile roofing, wrought iron, and terra-cotta ornamentation.
