The Campus Theatre was located near Victoria College, and the College Park neighborhood. It was opened on August 3, 1950 with Cary Grant in “Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House”. It was closed on January 23, 1952 with Gene Evans in “The Streel Helmut”. The building is still standing, and a trained eye will notice that the booth had windows to the outside. After closing it was used as a church, and is now a bowling alley operating under the name of Woodlawn Bowling Center.
It was the only one screen theatre in Victoria that was not in the downtown area, except for a theatre at Aloe field and another at Foster AFB, both of which were military theatres.
