A closer address is 4511 College Ave, Snyder, TX.
This puts it right where the entrance road used to be.
The drive-in was still intact in 1984, although clearly closed. Today, it is the home of a few businesses. The northern part of the property is still not developed, but no trace of the drive-in remains.

The Tiger Drive-In was named after the high school mascot and operated at 4515 College Avenue about one mile from the Snyder High School. It advertised consistently through the Halloween Weekend of 1980 closing its season on November 1, 1980 with “Friday, the 13th” and “Bloody Pit of Horror.” As that times out with the expiry of a 30-year leasing period, it is likely that it went out honorably with this double-bill.
The Tiger Drive In was the Canyon Drive In until the mid 1970’s. It was located on College Ave. (then called Ave S or Hwy 350). The exact location is the old Walmart store in Snyder. The theatre sat between College Ave. and Prairie Dog Town in the park. The entrance/exit was off College Ave, right before the turn in to Towle Park.
It was clse to the city park. I saw several movies there as a young kid.
Jennifer Jones, born Phyllis Isley, won an Oscar for “Song of Bernadette” (1943), produced by husband David O. Selznick. She’s still alive, as far as I know.
Thanks lostmemory. The Tiger was a drive in. The info that I dug up says it was located around 25th and College or the Colorado City highway. College turns into highway 84, connects with 208 and leads to Colorado City.
If anyone recalls Jennifer Jones a screen star from the past and one time wife of David O Selznik, it turns out that her father built the Tiger.
