This was originally operated by the Cumberland Amusement Company before the Crescent Amusement Company took it over. Martin Theatres took the theater over from Crescent in January 1961.

Very much so. I love the fact that they kept the sweeping glass block marque base.

Looks like an old theatre.

This theatre sat on the corner of N 2nd Street and East Jefferson Street (northeast edge of Pulaski Courthouse Square). Since closing as a cinema and furniture company, it has been converted into office space and the entrance now faces (203) East Jefferson (Alsup & Associates Insurance Inc).

The building still has an art deco marble and stone front.

Here is a photo from somewhere in Tennessee of a Hunter and Smith Furniture Company. It looks very much like a former theatre to me. Don’t know the city in which this photo was made though.

Know the spot and think I have an old photo of this building. This building was constructed in 1930 and had/has some elements which suggest that it might have been a theatre at one time.
