The Green County Cinema 8 opened in 2000, it was built on the site of the Tahlequah Drive-In. The cinema served Green county with first run attractions with a single show Monday thru Thursday and extra shows on weekends, holidays and during the summer. Since the Covid-19 pandemic of 2021-2022 it has been renamed Apex Cinema 6 and has closed two screens. The entire cinema closed on August 24, 2025.
The building is to be converted into a Airtopia Adventure Park.

Roadside Oklahoma pages have a recent photo of Green County Cinemas.
Now known as “Apex Cinema 6”. Two screens were removed during the pandemic.
Closed permanently on August 24, 2025 to become Airtopia Adventure Park.
