This theater opened February 25, 2000, one year after the Cinemark Melrose Park opened. It also has an IMAX theater. Unlike Cinemark Melrose Park in which the theaters and seats are purple, the theaters and seats are maroon in color.

Like most of the Cinemark Megaplexes of its era, the Cinemark at Seven Bridges was designed by the Kansas City firm, TK Architects.
Opened on February 25, 2000.

Recently, the theater experienced major parking problems. Just before midnight yesterday, four gunmen approached four people who demanded their black Chrysler 300 and all of their phones and cash outside the Cinemark. Several hours later, police found a white Hummer near the parking lot that was recently stolen in Schaumburg.
