The Airdome (also known as the Princess Airdome), an open-air cinema, opened on June 10, 1911. Its initial admission was 10 cents Wednesday & Saturday nights, 5 cents all other nights. The last newspaper listing of a film showing there was in August 1923. By 1935 the lot’s owner, Piatt Kratz, removed the Airdome and used the lot for public parking.

On September 5, 1937, the new Lyric Theatre opened on this parcel of land (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
