The Motor-Vu Drive-In was opened May 12, 1950 with Dennis Morgan in “Two Guys from Texas”. It was operated by Ray Wilmert. It had a capacity for 500 cars. It was still open in 1988, but closed in the early-1990’s.

Approx. address for this drive-i was 4655 Harrison Avenue. Now The Copper King Hotel and Convention Center.

The Motor-Vu was operated by a number of chains, Fox Inter Mountain, Mann Theatres and finally Carish. It was still listed as open in 1984.
The 1988 IMPA, the last edition to list drive-ins, still showed the Motor Vu.
This opened on May 12th, 1950. The opening was planned for the 11th, but the sound amplifier had other plans and failed. Both ads in the photo section.
It’s Still In Operation In 1988, But My Best Guess Is That This Closed Between 1991 And 1992 And Demolished. Now Some Apartments (Which I Believe Opened In 1994 Or 1995) Sits In This Site.
Opened on 12th May with two cartoons(not named, and “Two guys from Texas”.
