Act III took over the theater on April 30, 1989. However, United Artists originally planned to take over the theater by June 5, 1988 but was immediately scrapped by Tom Moyer’s Luxury Theatres before the deadline that April.

Actually…the Moyer’s owned the building but Henry Luchs owned the business. I am his daughter and I work the Victory Theater from ’59 to ’65. He sold the business in late 60’s but continued to own two drive-ins and another walk-in.

There was a Victory Theater in Milwaukie in 1963, misspelled as Milwaukee (like the other one) in the motion picture almanac of that year. The operator was Moyer Theaters out of Portland.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin also had a Southgate Theater which has been replaced by a new Southgate multiplex.

Yes there is a Portland, Wisconsin.

Portland is a town in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,106 at the 2000 census.

Does anyone know if there is a theater in Portland?
