The MJR Marketplace Cinema 20 opened November 18, 2005, replacing the old Showcase Cinemas 15. The new 82,500 square foot theatre has a second floor mezzanine balcony overlooking the lobby, and a ‘coming soon’ preview projector in the middle of the lobby. All auditoriums have Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and the theatre offers state of art all digital programming. A ScreenX was added in November 2024.

The Marketplace 20 is one of a number of multiplexes designed for the MJR circuit by the Grand Rapids architectural firm Paradigm Design.
