While it is typical of today’s most modern stadium-seating multiplexes - clean, bold, neon-infused design - this cinema opened in 2006 as one of the flagship operations in the new Pier Park open-air shopping plaza in the west end of Panama City Beach.
The website stated this is under the Southern Theatres, LLC, chain (formerly Gulf States Theatres). The auditoriums feature terrific sound, comfy seating. Popcorn isn’t bad (though not as good as Carmike Cinema) and concessions seem on-par with most other places. Tickets range from $6-8. Unlike the cinemas in Panama City, this cinema tends to hold onto films longer. By 2025 it was operated by the Santikos Theatre chains as The Grand Pier Park.
The only major downside is the parking: one must park around and/or to the back of the building, and this is one big building!
