AMC Boca Mall 6

Opened by AMC inside the Boca Mall on August 25, 1975. Standard 1970’s AMC multiplex with tube-style auditoriums, which brought an expanded selection of movies versus Wometco’s Boca Raton Theater a mile north. As with AMC’s Lakes Mall 6 in Lauderdale Lakes and Cross County 8 of West Palm Beach, the Boca Mall 6 was an anchor tenant alongside two (since defunct) department store chains, Britts and Jeffersons. The AMC Boca Lall 6 was closed on November 20, 1988.

After Boca Mall’s demolition in the late-1980’s and replacement with the residential/retail Mizner Park development, AMC returned with the Mizner Park 8 (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures) Sunrise Cinemas assumed management in 2000.
