News About This Theater

Located in the Sarasota Crossings Shopping Center at the Honore Avenue intersection.The Cinema 10 was opened by Lichfield Theatres on November 8, 1990. Taken over by Cobb Theatres in 1997, Regal took over in 1999, it was closed in 2001. Operated since 2002 by the independent SunStar Theatres chain it was their largest theatre.

The Sarasota Crossings 10 was closed in late-2008 and was demolished.

This theater was closed before Christmas 2008, and was the last 1st run NON-STADIUM theater in its area. It has been demolished to make room for a new office supply store to anchor the plaza.

This cinema and the Parkway 8 both opened on November 8th, 1990 by Litchfield Theatres.

It opened as Cinema 10 and renamed Crossings (Sarasota Crossings) in 1999. Owners: 1990 Litchfield 1990-1997 Cobb Theatres 1997-1999 Regal 1999-2002 other owners 2002-2008 Sunstar

Opened by Litchfield Theatres as Cinema 10 on November 8, 1990. It was later operated by Cobb Theatres in 1997, taken over by Regal and renamed the Sarasota Crossings 10 (once as Regal Sarasota Crossings 10) in 1999, and finally Sunstar in 2002.
