News reports say that there is a formal planning application to build flats and commercial space on this site retaining some of the original building as part of the development.

Sadly, on my visit in June 2015 the Regal was very firmly boarded up.

I was born in Ringwood and spent many a happy hour in the regal, a shame the town has no cinema
