The Rialto Theater was Dickinson’s first theater, and was built in 1900 by Tom Valancy. It was the first theater to have talking pictures in Dickinson.
The Rialto Theater was sold in 1936 to the Dickinson Theater Company. It’s last film was "Crash Drive" shown on April 27, 1957. The theater was sold soon after. In 1977 it became part of "The Fad". It became the downtown location of "The Twisted Bakery". By 2025 it was in retail use.
