The Mountain Vu Drive-In was located between Cashmere and Dryden in Washington State. The Mountain Vu Drive-In was opened on June 17, 1955 with Alan Ladd in “Shane” & Dick Powell in “Susan Slept Here”. It was closed in October 1992. Car capacity was approximately 400.

Boxoffice, July 16, 1955: “CASHMERE, WASH. - Ben and Delphi?? Slowe have opened their new Mountain View Drive-In on Pine Flat between Cashmere and Dryden. Norman Slowe, their son who has been associated with them in the operation of the Vale Theatre here, will manage the airer.”
It sure looks like the projector booth/concession stand is still standing. It is the building located at 7630 Stine Hill Rd, Cashmere, WA.
It is a two-story building with what appears to be the projection booth on top. It has not changed its general shape since a 1963 aerial.
The Joe Bob Report, Oct. 19, 1992: “The Mountain View Drive-In in Cashmere, Washington, is dead. Defunct. Kaplooey. No hope. Locals are heading for the View Dale Drive-In in Wenatchee and the Park Drive-In in Soap Lake.”
The Mountain Vue Drive-In opened its gates on June 17, 1955 with Alan Ladd in “Shane” and Dick Powell in “Susan Slept Here” (unknown if extras added), featuring installations of CinemaScope and RCA sound. It was first operated by the husband-and-wife team of Ben and Delphine Slowe, with their son Norman being the manager. The Slowe family also operated the Vale Theatre at the time.
