The Grande Theatre opened on June 11, 1948 with Marshall Thompson in “Gallant Bess”. Seating listed at 697. It was operated by Leon Theaters of Dallas and was a Spanish language movie theatre in 1952-1953. The theatre for some time was operated by H.S. Theatres. The Grande Theatre closed in 1969 and has since been converted to retail. Vacant in 2021.
