E.J. Sparks Theatres was one of its early operators, and was later operated by Florida State Theatres. It was renamed the Beach Theatre in May 1958, and closed on September 10, 1970 with “A Bullet For Pretty Boy”.
The Florida Theatre opened on September 28th, 1925. Grand opening ad posted.

C SWalczak is correct, also newspaper archives show that the Florida Theater was in that location at least as early as October 1, 1936. Himone Simon was featured in “Girls Dormitory”
