The Best Theatre was opened by the 1960’s. Not sure exactly when it closed, but I believe it must have been during the early to mid-1970’s.

I watched my first movie here. I think it was Zebra In The Kitchen. I remember meeting Santa during intermission or after a movie in the mid-60s. My mother worked at the concession stand and we would get in for free which, with 9 kids, was a real savings. She let me see Night of The Living Dead with my brother Tom. I was so scared that I hid behind the big wall at the back and eventually went to the lobby, where the older kids who were waiting for the 2nd show laughed because I was almost in shock. Tom took me to the ice cream shoppe next door to calm me down. I remember a man named Bruce took tickets.
