Skipping school was sometimes called “Playing Hooky”. That’s how the chain got its name.

Renamed again to Hooky Entertainment in June, 2025 as the Es Verda chain took it over. (Es Verda operates these brands: Hooky, Showbiz, Vilot Crown) Webshot posted.

As of January 2024, EVO Entertainment has taken over operations of this theater from Paragon. It is now known as EVO Entertainment Fredericksburg.

Paragon remodeled this theater in the fall and winter of 2018-19, installing reservable recliner seating in all twelve auditoriums. Theaters 1, 2, and 3 have very large scope-formatted screens; theater 1 is branded as the “Extreme Theater” and includes a slightly larger curved screen, laser projection, and Dolby Atmos. These three theaters also have upper-level dine-in seating accessed via Chatterbox, a restaurant/bar/lounge above the lobby. The Chatterbox area (including the upper section of those auditoriums) is 21 and over after 4pm, but all aged are permitted earlier.

Seating capacities for dine-in seating are 96 in theater 2 and 75 in theaters 1 and 3. General admission seating ranges from 165 in theaters 1, 2, and 3, to 55 in the smallest auditoriums; the complex’s total seating capacity is approximately 1,600.

Theater name still needs to be changed to Paragon Village 12, http://www.spotsylvaniatownecentre.com/pressrelease/2012-02-21-muvico-village-12-theater-to-change-name-to-paragon-village-12/2130560826. Current ownership should be Paragon Entertainment Group. Also, Muvico never had ownership of this theater, Paragon was just using the name in a licensing deal.

The Muvico Village 12 was designed by the Charlotte, NC, architectural firm ADW Architects.

PLEASE CHANGE ADDRESS TO:

PLANK RD & BRAGG RD.

This is not a perfect address, but it gets it in the area of the shopping center and theater.

The address supplied by the Paragon has Google go to a map of the lower half of the United States, which is not very helpful to anyone!

As best as I can understand it the shopping center is now simply called SPOTSYLVANIA TOWNE??????

Paragon Theaters is licensed by MUVICO to use MUVICO.

The theater features a fancy Splitsville Bowling Alley.

How bout more info or photos?
