Skyview Drive-In

Located on Highway 19 in North Georgia, the Family Outdoor Drive-In was opened by R.H. Head on August 6, 1948 and had a capacity for 200-cars. It reopened as the Skyview Drive-In on March 20, 1949 when it was owned by John Thompson. The Skyview Drive-In parked 406 cars making it one of the larger drive-ins outside Atlanta. It was still open in 1982, but possibly closed in the mid-1980’s.

I like the way you are putting all the drive-ins on CT. I do remember seeing a drivein in Jenkinsberg years ago. I do not remember what its name was but it was very small.

Still open in 1982, but appears that it may’ve closed later in the decade.

Opened as the Family Open-Air Theatre on August 6, 1948. It originally scheduled to be opened earlier that week but was postponed because of heavy rainfall.
