Also known as the University Cinemas, this was opened on February 18, 1970 with Clark Gable in “Gone With the Wind” & Steve McQueen in “The Reivers”. It was closed in 1985. Owned & operated by Cinemette Corporation of America, and Cinemas Corp. during its last year of operations.

Correction, what was for the University Cinemas in Orono.

The University Cinema in Old Town opened on February 18th, 1970. Grand opening ad posted.

Closed on July 25, 1985 with “The Goonies” in Screen 1 and “The Emerald Forest” in Screen 2. It was last operated by Cinema Centers Corporation.
