Tom Bond Building Hester's Drive In

The Hester Drive-In was running movies in the 1950’s, parking 225 cars. The Hester Drive-in Theatre was owned and run by W.H. Hester.

It was listed in my 1956 Motion Picture Almanac as Hester Drive-in,Chuck.

Found this one, the best address is Barefoot Lane, Fries VA 24330. It was present in 1967 and 1970 aerial photos but completely redeveloped by a 1983 aerial photo. Barefoot Lane goes right through the middle of where the ramps were.

What’s strange is that it was still listed in the 1986 topo, despite being completely redeveloped by 1983.

Those old topo maps are notorious for being outdated so its always good to not fully trust them.
